In this series of Land Use we will be reviewing permits commonly required to build, renovate, repair or obtain approval for use in the City and County of Honolulu. The review will also include wall and tree/shrub boundary encroachments; Hawaii’s easement, adverse possession and eminent domain statutes; the Housing code’s space and occupancy standards in regard to property setbacks, ceiling heights & floor area requirements; and private wastewater systems(cesspools and septic systems)
