SCOTT ALAN BLY

Attorney at Law, Instructor, Principal, Co-Founder

Scott has over 20 years of experience practicing law and teaching real estate/law, specifically teaching under Dower School of Real Estate for more than 15 years. Since the closure of the Dower School of Real Estate, Scott has opened his own real estate school named the Bly School of Real Estate. In addition, he has written a superb Hawaii real estate book entitled, Hawaii Real Estate Reference Manual, which is used in the pre-licensing classes that he teaches.

Scott is extremely involved as a pre-licensing instructor for his salesperson’s and broker’s classes, as well as teaching continuing education. He focuses on being interactive with the class while combining his deft knowledge with humor which leads to a strong rapport with his students. Even after completion of classes, Scott is in constant contact with former students in order to help transition them into the real estate field or to provide legal counsel.

As an attorney, Scott’s practice consists of real estate, contracts (all kinds), and estate planning, including providing legal counsel and drafting conveyance documents for many real estate companies. Previously he conducted closings for title insurance companies.

Scott is a member of the Hawaii Bar Association and received his Bachelor of Science from Clemson University and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Scott adores Hawaii, embracing its people and culture and is honored to be in a position where he can make a positive difference in someone’s life.
